(WAU, WESTERN BAHR EL GHAZAL STATE) – A team from the National Ministry of Health, led by Dr. Bortel Ohisa, is in Wau conducting an inspection of the newly rehabilitated warehouse ahead of its official handover to the Government.
The mission is aimed at assessing the warehouse’s completion, functionality and readiness to safely store medicines, medical supplies and other essential health commodities.
Following the inspection, the team will compile a technical report documenting the status of the facility and any outstanding requirements. The report will inform the next steps towards the official handover of the warehouse to the Government.
The handover will take place at a later stage after the inspection team has finalised and submitted its report confirming the warehouse’s readiness for use.
The rehabilitation of the warehouse is expected to strengthen the storage and management of essential medicines, medical supplies and other health commodities in Western Bahr el Ghazal State.
