(JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN) – The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority has handed over office to its newly appointed Director General, Hon. Eng. Kat Mosety Monyjok, following a ceremony held on 25th September 2026.
The handover and reception of the new Director General was attended by senior government officials and the entire leadership of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority.
Speaking during the event, Acting Minister of Transport Hon. Paul Dhel Gum officiated the ceremony and acknowledged the dedication of the Civil Aviation Authority teams and the outgoing Director General, Hon. Dr. Ayiei Garang Deng, in service delivery and infrastructure development at Juba International Airport.
Dhel encouraged the newly appointed Director General to continue the steps of development and urged the team to remain committed in delivering services to the South Sudanese people.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, Hon. Samuel Yanga, appreciated the efforts made by the aviation team for their support and courage towards development.
The outgoing Director General, Hon. Dr. Ayiei Garang Deng, thanked the leadership of the Civil Aviation Authority for their commitment and contributions during his tenure as Director General.
The newly appointed Director General, Hon. Eng. Kat Mosety Monyjok, expressed his appreciation to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, for entrusting him to serve.
He also thanked all members, senior government officials and aviators, and reaffirmed his commitment to taking the infrastructure development of South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority airports to the international standards required.
